Messaging & Notifications

Lynx keeps communication attached to the right context: role-level discussion for the search, and candidate-level discussion for each submission. Notifications make sure decisions don’t stall in someone’s inbox.

Messaging in Lynx

Lynx provides real-time messaging in two places:

  • Role chat: general discussion about the job role (requirements, calibration, process, status)
  • Candidate chat: discussion and feedback tied to a specific candidate profile

Use role chat for broad context, and candidate chat for candidate-specific feedback so nothing gets buried.

Stage-change notifications (submission, interviews, offer, etc.)

When you move a candidate to a new stage (for example from Pending Submission to Submitted), Lynx can send a notification email to selected recipients.

  • You can customize the notification message during the stage transition
  • You can choose which role members should be notified
  • The email includes a direct link to the candidate profile

Manual notifications and reminders

In addition to stage-change emails, recruiters can send manual notifications from the candidate profile. This is useful when you want to prompt a review without moving stages (or when you want to follow up).

  • Send New: send a new notification message
  • Resend: resend the most recent notification (useful for follow-up reminders)

Follow-up reminders

If a candidate's stage has been inactive longer than the role's follow-up reminder threshold, Lynx flags it as needing attention. This helps your team spot stalled decisions and follow up quickly.

Who can send notifications?

Notification tools are intended for recruiter-side users (recruiters, admins, and owners). Clients can still participate via candidate decisions and chat, but recruiter-side users typically control outbound notification cadence.
